Market research firm iSuppli
says that 40 to 42-inch LCD television sets are plummeting in price, and that you'll be able to get one for roughly $2500 by the end of the year. Eighteen million LCD TVs will be shipped this year worldwide, according to iSuppli - that's up 87 percent from last year. ("While generally more expensive, LCD technology is thought to produce a higher-quality picture than plasma," Alorie Gilbert of CNET's News.com writes.)
